Packaging looked like it had been kicked down the street, with the styrofoam inside in shreds when the box was open (it looks like it snowed in my office). All the pieces were scuffed and damaged, with paint off the metal pieces and damage to the wood/board pieces.Worst of all, there were NO labels on the desk pieces at all. Not on the screws, not on the pieces of the desk...nothing at all. This makes it all-but impossible to put together. My wife and I spent 5 hours last night trying to get it together and ended up having to take a break for the night. Here we are, two college-educated people fighting with a desk. Seriously. Additionally, one of the screw holes for the desk top was a quarter inch off from the hole in the metal strut, so it's not secured properly. I'm considering a new hole, but it's frustrating that it's not at all lined up properly for what is, arguably, the most important part of the desk. All the other holes have, so far, lined up, but that ONE...In all, a good-ish desk for the money, but you might look for a better price it it's going to be this janky.Package look like it was used as a frustration moment for someone, styrofoam packaging was shredded and on every piece which made a huge mess and as well as several damaged pieces. Was very hard to put together due to nothing marked on the pieces, no predrilled holes like it shows in picture instructions. Also the instructions had no wording just pictures.Purchased this desk for my office in the new house that I just bought. Very disappointed that there is a big chip out of the corner on a very noticeable section of the desk. Will see about contacting the manufacturer if they can replace that one piece. Looks terrible and make me sad just looking at it. Being excited to have a new house and my own office then have a piece of furniture that looks all beat up already.From the pictures you can see there there were many pieces that were received in poor shape.There were also parts that were not drilled so I needed to add holes myself to some pieces in order to get the screws in.Would be nice if they numbered or lettered the pieces to make it easier to figure out which is which.Took about 5 hours to put together with drilling, crazy glueing pieces and figuring out what was what.Hope something can be done about that big chip.I am 5 ft 4 in tall with fairly long legs and I have plenty of leg room. Love the way it looks in my office.Package was terrible, beaten to a pulp. Package extremely heavy. Desk took hours to assemble and ended up short 1 drawer front. I called for replacement drawer and told not an option. I would have to disassemble & send back and another would be sent to me or accept 25% discount. After so muchtime invested, I took the discount. My guess is 3rd drawer front couldn't fit into package, so it was left out and desk was priced knowing discount would be applied.....The instructions are in japanese and the holes do not line up. It is very difficult to assemble. To assemble this desk is impossible.I would like a refund please.I had such a HORRIBLE experience putting this desk together!! Definitely not worth the money!!! It took FOUR people to assemble it. Almost every piece was damaged (see pics). And the pieces for the doors on the hutch did NOT have holes to screw in the doors- you can NOT use a drill on this material because it will split, so the desk currently has no doors on the hutch. The drawers were an absolute nightmare to assemble and they don't even pull out all the way. The instructions were a total joke!!! NONE of the pieces were labeled or numbered and the instructions were just crappy pictures!Missing pieces and no lettered or numbered pieces makes it hard to assemble.
