Nice color easy to put togetherThis TV Stand is very nice-looking on the picture which is why I ordered it. I ordered it on June 25 but did not receive it until the 28th even though I have Amazon Prime. That kind of ticked me off that I didn't receive it like I should have being a Prime member and all. I ordered other items at the same time I ordered this piece of furniture and they were delivered on time but not the furniture.Because I was so busy the week that I got it I held off putting it together until Sunday, July 2. Just to let those who are thinking about ordering this, it is VERY heavy to lift so watch your back and be very careful. Ladies, I would highly recommend that you get a very strong male to carry it inside for you. I weigh only 123 pounds but I do not have the muscles to be lifting such a heavy thing like that on my own so I had the delivery man bring it inside for me. It was packaged very securely and none of the pieces were broken. Also, it should be noted that if you are not the type to put furniture together it can take a couple of hours to get it all completed. If you can read and comprehend English very well putting this furniture together should be a breeze for you so long as you follow the steps. It was very easy for me but it took some time til I completed it. I read a review from someone who said it only took him just 45 minutes tops which amazed me but, seriously, in no way can you put this piece of furniture together in just 45 minutes so I suspect the person was exaggerating.Pros: Is a very nice-looking piece of furniture overall the the adjustable shelves and the drawers are are a huge plus for me.Cons: It's very heavy so be very careful and watch your back when bending to lift the heaviest pieces of wood. I wish it had come with stainless steel wheels for rolling it due to it being so heavy. The handles you attach to the drawers are made of plastic instead of stainless steel so be careful not to screw the screws in them too tight whereas you could cause it to break. I don't know why they didn't include stainless steel handles. Go figure. smh It took me a little over 2 hours to complete it and that was following it step-by-step and without taking any breaks. Upon completing it I noticed that both the left and right drawers overlapped onto the left and right outer A and B pieces of wood making it have a very awkward-looking appearance from the front view. When closed the center of the 2 drawers are suppose to be very very close to each other but that is not the case with my unit. Because the drawers are overlapping onto the A and B pieces of wood the middle is very wide whereas you can actually almost see the pieces that are suppose to be hidden. THAT really upset me. I believe that is a manufacture flaw and, sadly, I just happened to be the unfortunate one to receive that particular one. Hopefully that its not the case with most of their products like this one. It's very noticeable and looks rather tacky to me personally. Just be aware of that if you're thinking about getting it.Other than that it is a very nice piece of furniture. I gave it a 3-star solely because of the flaw with the drawers but if there were no flaws I would have given it 5-star because it really is nice-looking. If I could have one without that flaw I would definitely get it but the manufacturer would have to put it together and ship it to me because in no way am I going through with having to put that thing together again on my own. I wouldn't recommend getting this piece of furniture and that's solely because you might end up getting one with the manufacturing flaw like I unfortunately got. But you can take that chance if it really appeals to you. Just can't say you weren't warned in advance.Typical of Sauder furniture, the directions are great and assembly takes time, but if you follow directions exactly, it should be fine. Howeve, also typical of Sauder furniture some of the pieces always have dings and marks, which you can only hope they aren’t too severe and are in places that don’t matter. Absolutely recommend if you are looking for low cost, good looking tv stand. 4 stars overall just from the fact the top piece is damaged on one side, but fortunately it’s toward the back and won’t be too visible3 stars seems harsh to me, but like the Amazon hover-over says, "It's OK." Just like this product. Read this review as a 3.5.The price is right. Aesthetically it's OK.The negative: the product is drastically fragile. Once it's put together, once you've got a TV on it and objects on the shelf - you don't have to lose sleep that it'll suddenly collapse, I'm not saying that. But the particleboard nature of the construction, combined with the gazillion pieces if comes as, has a high chance of problems either:a) in transit in its cardboard box. Mine came with a gash in the cardboard corner, leaving exposed corners for about four of the pieces. That exposure meant damage and the cherry wooden veneer peeling. Meaning it looked like it had been used for one year, not that it just came from the factory.b) as you're putting it together. Particleboard gets angry with you if you screw a screw in too tightly, it spits sawdust at you. Once that happens say goodbye to ever screwing that thing in again. That happened to one of the drawers. It looked like it had been smashed with a baseball bat, as it was hanging halfway out of itself, even though I had - delicately - just assembled the product.c) if you decide to move it. Once you've assembled it, don't even though of shifting it around the house. Don't bloody touch it!The product came in a lot of small pieces and took a long time to put together. Now the plus -- the major plus. The item came with a bright yellow piece of paper that said - Stop - if you have any issues, don't return the product to Amazon, instead call us at this number. Well, I had a bunch of issues - see above - with damaged pieces, so I called the number. A friendly guy answered right away, took a note of all the damaged pieces (the product comes with each piece labeled with a letter of the alphabet, so that was easy), no questions asked - and immediately arranged for a 3 day delivery of the four broken pieces. That arrived as he said. It was extremely painless to do it this way.I really can't fault the product for what it is - a temporary / cheap TV stand that doesn't look too bad. Just know what you're getting in advance and don't get upset if anything above surprises you - because you get what you pay for. If you want something of higher quality, you won't be paying 10% more, you'll be paying 2-3 or more times more. This is very much more on the Ikea side of the fence than the solid wood, last-forever sort of item.Hopefully that's enough information for you to make an informed decision about. In summary, if you're in a bind, don't want to spend too much, and don't mind risking buying something that won't survive a house move, get this. If you want something more serious / solid, then you definitely are looking at the wrong place: the right place is a price range of several times this, or used furniture on one of the many used furniture classifieds sites out there.Husbands comments: We have bought Sauder products before so when we needed a larger TV cabinet I went for them and Amazon. The cabinet we wanted wasn't available anywhere in the finish we wanted. Unfortunately, with the pandemic Sauder basically closed down and we didn't want to wait until the units were scheduled to be available in August or September. This unit was an alternative though it isn't a model made in the USA but is made to Sauder's specifications. I took a long time assembling the unit since I didn't want to make any mistakes. Instructions are good with all pieces labeled and all screws and other parts well labelled. The strange part is that the top is made with two pieces with the front 3 1/2 inches thicker than the rest of the top. Fortunately, it still worked for a 50 inch TV. Price was good so if we decide to replace with the better model we really preferred we won't have invested a lot of money.I liked the precise and clear assembly instructions along with the clearly numbered parts. I also find it quite sturdy.I disliked the fact that it is presswood even though I find it sturdy. I don’t like working with presswood because it doesn’t allow for mistakes. I had to unscrew some parts because I made a mistake and when I put back the wood screws, one of the holes stripped and did not allow the screw to tighten as it should. I put some toothpicks in the hole but when I screwed in the wood screw, the presswood swelled and I had to use carpenters glue to prevent the panel from coming apart in that area.Notwithstanding the fact that it’s presswood, it is solid and well built. Just be extra careful when you’re assembling it.The color is darker than anticipated for cherry, still nice.Finish and composition is basic, as advertised - veneer is not thick, and can scratch easily, and most components are sawdust sandwich or particle board. Instructions were easy to follow, and the company cheerfully replaced one shelf that arrived broken, and provided a touch-up marker to cover the minor scratches. I put some felt pads underneath it to protect my laminate floors from scratching, and on the whole, it will do what i need it to do.One small surprise: the front section of the top is a bit thicker than the back section. It appears to be an intentional design component, though it was unexpected.we ordered this product not even 2 days before we found it delivered at our door. Right away took apart the 95+ lbs box to check contents. Every piece of cabinet in pristine condition. Doing assembly the instructions were bang on. End product was what was advertised and more. Been happy Amazon junkie shopper for years but this was the biggest cost and mass order that I have ever purchased. Would give 10 star rating if possible. Pleasantly happy and surprised. It's perfect for holding all the game consoles and games we have accumulated over the years, and it will easily accommodate a larger TV when the times comes to upgrade that. Gone is the rickety college student era tv stand - now we've got a grown-up entertainment stand!I will never purchase a Sauder product again. The quality is very poor for the price. I was aware it was pressed wood which I have purchased lots of times in the past. I also have lots of experience putting together this type if product, I have never had one that chipped so easily or with such a poor finish on the edges and corners. We were being extremely careful putting this together but you can see by the pictures we still ended up with chips.
