I loved this pool toys storage. But after 6 weeks it has faded from the beautiful blue to a faded purple. Very disappointed.I’m docking a star because the pipe fittings on this are not secure. I would highly recommend getting the adhesive that you use for sprinkler systems to secure the pieces, otherwise this may come apart.So I don’t have a pool, but I have three kids, who have a lot of outdoor toys. We have two types of outdoor storage. The kind with the closing lid that my younger kids have a hard time opening, and I’m always worried about them smashing their fingers, and the trashy looking storage tote we have outside that we had to drill holes in the bottom in order to drain when it rains so we don’t bread mosquitos. I decided to give this toy storage a try since it was designed for wet toys, and I could get rid of our trashy looking tote. This fits all of my kids outdoor toys, doesn’t retain water, and looks way better than our old tote. I do have to help my younger kids get toys from the bottom, but this isn’t a big issue for me. I love that I can hose off all my sons trucks after he’s done playing, and just toss them in the bin and not worry about water pooling at the bottom. While I’m sure that would is great for pool toys, this is just good for outdoor toys in general if you’re looking to avoid potential mosquito breeding grounds.We have so many pool toys that get thrown out of the pool and run over with the lawn mower that I felt this was needed. Assembly was easy, though the pieces come apart easily when I try to pick it up and move it. It is a decent size and holds quite a bit of toys, but is not functional for floats or inflatables. Most of the pool toys we have our smaller so you have to bend down to get these out from the bottom, so I have also been storing pool cleaning items like the skimmer and brush, and even our vacuum when we are not using it. I do like that the bottom is mesh so it filters rain water and does not let it store water in the bottom. At best, it helps the area around the pool not to look so cluttered. I would recommend this product but it is not the sturdiest.This pool toy holder is exactly what my backyard needed to hold all of our random stuff that we have for the pool. Before it was put in random places and hung in all areas of the backyard, I love that at all fits in one neat tidy bin now. However, this is way overpriced for what you are getting. It's basically a bunch of PVC pipes put together with fittings, then it has the cloth basket part that is thin and like mesh. I could really see someone being able to build this themselves, the only hard part would be finding the material and getting it prepped in the correct way. I personally would take the easy route and just buy something but this should really only cost 30 bucks. For $55 I would expect something a lot more well made. The fittings on this don't even go together that great. I plan on getting PVC pipe glue and making it so that the pieces cannot come apart. This is a really hard one because it's a great idea, executed so so, but way overpriced for what it is. If they could take $20 off of this I would be recommending it to everybody.Overall, this product is great, but I will say the weakest part is the mesh at the bottom. Feels like it will rip through if you put serious weight in it. Then again, this thing is meant for pool stuff, right? Inflatable stuff shouldn't be too heavy. I question how long it will last if you actually fill it up with tennis balls like in the stock photos. If you have the DIY spirit, you can actually go get some matching size PVC and Tees. I believe they are 3/4 pipes. Cut the bottom poles, add some tees to add some cross bars for support. As is, there is no cross poles at the bottom, the mesh is not supported by anything. That is why I say it will rip if you put serious weight on it. But again, you can go the extra mile if you wish and get some 3/4 pvcs and tees from your local HD store. I'll go 4-Stars.This is a decent large poolside storage bin. It is easy to assemble and is basically a frame made from precut PVC pipes and corner/elbow connectors. The nylon fabric then completes the bin making it functional. The four sides of the nylon are opaque blue. The bottom is mesh for draining and air circulation. It's large and fits all of my kids' floaties and pool noodles, saddles, toys, etc. The nylon is thin but I keep ours out of the sun and elements.I have seen similar that come with casters. This one does not. Overall, this is a average bin but today's MSRP of $55 is a bit steep for what this is.Storage bin – 5 starsAssembly directions – minus 12 starsIt is easy to put together despite the fact that the directions are horrible.The directions kept telling me, “…as shown in the photo.” What a joke.The photo is about an inch square and the paper has been photocopied so many times that the tiny box is just a gray blob.Unless you log on to the computer when putting it together, you do not even have a picture of the finished storage bin. I can see from the photo on the website that I put the bottom PVC pipe connectors on incorrectly. Oh well, my way works also, just not as well. Perhaps I will fix it one day.Once assembled, this is a lightweight, but very function storage bin for pool floats.I am quite happy with it.This is a nice, roomy storage bin for pool products. The mesh bottom allows you to put in wet items without worrying about them drying off. The only issue I have is that the PVC tubes that make up the frame can come apart somewhat easily, especially if you move the bin around. Overall, it's a nice solution to store pool toys and similar products outdoors or in a shed.
